Global Finance: RBI is “Best Bank in Central and Eastern Europe“

  • Raiffeisen also “Best Bank” in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Ukraine

Raiffeisen Bank International AG (RBI) was named “Best Bank in Central and Eastern Europe” by “Global Finance” in the framework of “The World’s Best Banks 2017” awards competition. The renowned financial magazine awarded this prestigious regional title to RBI for the eleventh time in the last 14 years.

RBI’s subsidiary banks in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Ukraine were selected as “Best Bank” in their respective markets at the same time.

“Being named ‘Best Bank in Central and Eastern Europe’ is both an honor and an assignment to continue our strive for quality and providing first class services and products throughout the region”, said Johann Strobl, CEO of RBI. “The award also reflects our good strategic position and performance, including the improved quality of our assets and strengthened capital ratios.”
